Black History Month x LaDuca

In celebration of Black History month, it was my honor to create spotlights for eight inspiring performers who not only exude Black Excellence on Broadway, but who are also an integral part of modern Black history themselves: Vasthy Mompoint, Ahmad Simmons, Taeler Cyrus, Erin Moore, Shina Morris, Khori Petinaud, and Jenny Laroche. Each week, two performers were featured on the LaDuca Instagram and Facebook accounts as well as the LaDuca Blog.
To further acknowledge the Black artists who have made Broadway what it is today, we must also look to and learn from historical industry-shaping contributions such as SHUFFLE ALONG, a production that changed the landscape of entertainment forever. Each week on the LaDuca Instagram and Facebook accounts, I also spotlighted shoes and historical facts from “SHUFFLE ALONG, or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed,” a 2016 Broadway revival in which custom LaDuca Shoes were worn.
